BIS is a very successful British Curriculum School, with outstanding IGCSE results, for 350 students aged 11-16 based on a purpose built 30 hectare campus on Victoria Island to the south of the main city of Lagos.

The school is seeking to recruit a new Vice Principal to take up the post in September 2015. The role will involve deputising for the Principal, leading the school in pastoral issues and teaching a class to IGCSE level.

This an opportunity for an aspiring experienced and qualified educator to join and lead a mixed team of highly motivated and dedicated expatriate and local staff who are committed to the ongoing development of the school. Established in 2001, British International School, Lagos (BIS) is a co-education Independent international School located in the Nigerian city of Lagos. The school was founded to provide a British education to students aged 11-18.  From September 2021 the school will welcome primary aged pupils to its purpose built Junior School. The school resides on a 30-acre site and accepts both day and boarding pupils. Older pupils sit IGCSE/GCSE and A Level examinations with most continuing their education in the UK or North America. The curriculum at BIS is well supported by a range of modern academic and recreational facilities, including a 25-metre swimming pool, a fully equipped library, a basketball court, and an extensive modern residential area providing boarding to a large proportion of the school’s students.
