Haut-Lac International Bilingual School, located near Vevey (Vaud), Switzerland, is seeking applications from enthusiastic Visual Arts teachers. The school, accommodating around 650 students (K-12) with 300 students in the Secondary School, invites qualified candidates to join the team from mid-August 2024.

We are looking for educators who not only excel in Visual Arts but also have a keen interest in engaging students through extra-curricular activities. Experience in teaching IB programmes in international schools is desirable.

 

Your profile :

·        Bachelor in Visual Arts or equivalent title;

·        A PGCE or equivalen teaching certificate in Visual Arts;

·        A passionate educator able to support and inspire students;

·        Able to teach another subject, preferably Design;

·        Mastery of educational technological tools

·        Teaching experience of IB programmes preferred;

·        Preferred experience of a pastoral role;

·        A working knowledge of French is desirable.

Your mission :

·        Teaching Visual Arts in English in our Secondary school

·        Teaching Visual Arts in English in our Primary school

·        Possibly teaching MYP Design

·        Participating actively in the extracurricular life of the school

Haut-Lac International Bilingual School is a K-12 school nestled in the hills above Vevey (Switzerland) that boasts state-of-the-art campuses with breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Haut-Lac is a unique school with a truly bilingual approach to education as well as learning pathways that are responsive to student progress and goals . It offers both Swiss and International students the choice between a variety of programmes such as “Learning means the World” in the infant and primary school ,  the prestigious IBDP, IBMYP and more recently the IBCP as well as a support programme to facilitate the return to public school in order to do a “maturity. The school also has the capacity to  provide flexibility in the programme to promote elite student athletes.

The Primary school campus and extensive whole-school sport facilities were completed in 2014. It is situated close to the secondary school in St-Légier, and comprises classrooms, specialist art and music rooms, a library, a uniform shop, a teaching kitchen and numerous offices. Modern facilities at the secondary campus include specialist IT rooms and Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology linked to a laser cutter and plastic former in the tech lab. Saint-Légier-La Chiésaz is located in the canton of Vaud, and has a total population of approximately 5,000.
