An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Welfare and Enrichment Officer at Hillcroft College. The Learning and Enrichment Officer works closely with the Teaching & Learning colleagues, MIS, Operations/Admissions and Finance.

Successful candidates must have experience of working in a diverse client group (ideally students) and have an understanding of personal issues which may affect students throughout the learning process.

Brief Overview of Duties:

  • To provide advice, support and guidance on welfare and pastoral related issues to any college student.
  • To be responsible for the efficient and effective organisation, management and delivery of the cross college enrichment programme.
  • Hillcroft has an excellent track record in providing women from diverse backgrounds opportunities to progress in achieving their educational potential. It was judged as Good by OFSTED at its last inspection in 2014.

About Richmond and Hillcroft Adult and Community College

Located in Surbiton, London, Hillcroft college is a further education college for women first established in 1920. Owned and run by the Hillcroft Charitable Trust, the college provides courses for learners aged 19 and over, and contains provision for students looking to live on-site for the duration of their studies. In addition to this, Hillcroft College also contains childcare facilities for women who require it, as well as flexible course hours in order to remain accessible to women in work.

Values and Vision

Hillcroft College is primarily dedicated to providing an education tailored for the learning needs of women. Many of the courses at the college are short courses, intended to provide introductory knowledge of a subject area without a formal qualification. In addition to this, the college also offers more formal, multiple-term courses such as GCSE and level 3 diplomas. The college offers free tuition on many courses for women receiving additional financial support, as well as support for single parents.
