Year 3 Class Teacher

Ramsgate Free School is a brand new two-form entry primary school that will be opening in September 2015 for Reception and Year 3 pupils. It is a part of Chilton Academy trust which also consists of Chilton Primary School. The school will be temporarily based at Chilton Primary School while its new building is being completed in the heart of the Ramsgate community.

The Free School will play an integral role in the ongoing regeneration in Ramsgate. It will raise aspirations ensuring better outcomes and attainment for the children of Ramsgate. The Free School will build on the diverse background of every child and will establish strong links within the wider community.

Ramsgate Free School will offer a broad curriculum and will operate an extended day to incorporate a wide ranging enrichment programme focused on sports, but also including a commitment to other subjects too. The school will become ‘Rights Respecting’ focused on pupil welfare and developing pupils’ social skills along with creating opportunities to take on responsibilities.

We now have two posts available and are seeking to appoint a Reception and Year 3 teacher who are reflective and creative practitioners who make learning irresistible and who are also committed to ensuring every child is challenged to achieve their maximum potential. We want teachers who have the skills and desire to develop and nurture every child in their care. They will deliver consistently outstanding teaching and learning in order to help all students to achieve excellent results.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Able to build excellent, professional relationships with the children in their class.
• A reflective and creative practitioner who makes learning irresistible.
• Able to provide consistently outstanding learning opportunities ensuring all pupils are challenged to achieve their maximum potential.
• Able to share best practice and have a wider, positive, impact within the school and the wider community.
