Upper KS2 Teacher

Due to our continued expansion, Hall School Wimbledon, a vibrant and proudly inclusive co-educational day school for pupils aged 9 to 18, is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and inspirational Y5 or Y6 Class Teacher for September 2024.

We are non-selective and we do not set entrance tests. We do not engage in 7+ or 11+ Examinations or KS2 SATs; rather we champion the myriad ways in which children can be ‘smart’ and we work hard to provide as many opportunities as we can for our wonderful pupils to find their talents, wherever they may lie. We run a busy programme of extra-curricular clubs and off-site educational visits.

The successful candidate will possess an excellent teaching degree and be able to demonstrate both the ability and the passion to deliver the Key Stage 2 curriculum with knowledge, enthusiasm and some creative thinking.

Occupying a charming campus, close to Wimbledon Common, HSW offers a contemporary and innovative education in a nurturing environment, designed to enable all pupils to flourish and become independent learners for life. We have seen significant growth this year and we have recently received an impressive ISI Report.

We are defined by our outstanding pastoral care here at HSW and our desire to tailor our teaching to meet the needs of every individual. We have small classes of 12-15 pupils with a wide range of learning abilities. Our staff are highly supportive and caring. Primary teaching expertise is fundamental, but we are also looking for someone who is approachable, creative and passionate about building positive relationships with every individual student. 

In September 2023, we welcomed our first cohort of Year 12 pupils, with the launch of our new Sixth Form.

Salary: Competitive.
