Job overview

Can you help us transform our vision into a reality?

The Lyon Park Schools have been in a successful Hard Federation since January 2011. In September 2015 we are expecting to amalgamate as one primary school serving 1010 pupils. We are committed to building a highly inclusive school community with a positive ethos and strong family values.

We believe that all children can be successful regardless of their starting point, background, ability or need. We aim to develop all pupils as independent learners who are able to take responsibility for their own learning in order to achieve their best and make a positive contribution to the wider community.

The governing body are seeking to appoint two year leaders (initially for Years 3 and 4) who will also take responsibility for a specific area linked to teaching/ learning and curriculum.

Please think about joining us if you are:

  • an excellent teacher who has high expectations as a core belief
  • able to inspire and motivate children, staff, parents and carers
  • a strong team player who is resilient and relentless in the pursuit of excellence

In return we can offer you:

  • a school where the ‘whole’ child really does matter
  • well behaved, happy and enthusiastic pupils who have a passion for learning
  • the opportunity to develop skills as a leader within a supportive environment
  • the opportunity to help the Lyon Park community shape it’s future

If you are interested in finding out more please contact: Samar Meshaka, Office Manager, on 020 8902 1479 or admin@lpjun.brent.sch.uk

We welcome and encourage visits to the school from prospective candidates. Please telephone the school in advance to arrange a visit.

Closing date for applications: 12 noon on Monday 27th April 2015
Interviews will be held during the week beginning Monday 4th May 2015

The Lyon Park Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
