Teach First is an independent charity with a mission ‘to address educational disadvantage by transforming exceptional graduates into effective, inspirational teachers and leaders in all fields’. Teach First believes that effective teachers have the power to close the gaps and aims to do this by enabling its participants and ambassadors (alumni) to raise pupil achievement, aspiration and access to opportunities whilst developing a network of future leaders who will be able to effect the systemic change required to end educational disadvantage.
