At its height, the Roman Empire ruled over much of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. In this lesson, students will learn about the Roman Gods and Goddesses and how Christianity later spread across the Roman Empire. They will investigate religious terminology and complete factfiles on the Roman Gods and Goddesses. THey will then read about the spread of Christianity and answer questions on this. By the end of the lesson, they will have a good understanding of the religious practices of the Romans This lesson is intended for KS2 but can easily be modified to suit KS3.

A powerpoint lesson on the belief of one God in many forms in Hinduism. Comparing to individual views on God.

With this task students are encouraged to revise key Hindu beliefs and words associated with Brahman.

A KS3 lesson where pupils learn the Christian beliefs about God. There is a main focus on the Omni words. The lesson includes a variety of activities that are engaging. One activity involves student learning the key beliefs through actions, this can also be adapted in to a written task to promote literacy. Another activity focuses on personal beliefs about God, exploring reasons for these beliefs. This lesson is a fast paced lesson, but can also be stretched in to two lessons to for mixed ability/lower ability groups or to include more exploration of the differing beliefs. A homework task is included to continue to learning from the lesson.

This is a 30 slide review of the nature of faith and belief. Includes ideas from Pascal, James, Tennant, Aquinas, Clifford and Plantinga. Looks at the ideas of evidentialism and fideism and examines four different approaches to explaining faith. Can be used by teachers over approximately 5 hours of lessons. Activities are included.
