This coursework is teacher assessed distinction level work, the coursework may include presentations, reports and essays which will depend on the unit. This coursework is unit 19 scriptwriting. The final work includes a written report on the nature of the scriptwriter’s role, the legal and ethical considerations they must make when working and how their role works as part of the development process. And a presentation exploring the format and conventions of industry live scripts and analysis of the use of standard writing techniques to appeal to an audience.

A 6 Lesson SOW which explores conventions of a script. Based on Mark Whellers Drama Schemes for Playwriting and activites used within the book Students write and develop their own scripts each lesson and for HW.

3 SOW’s that were designed in lockdown for non-practical Drama. Ideal for use for non-practical situations or if students aren’t taking part in practical. Also could be used for a homework project.

This lesson allows students to find their role within a group, and also choose their level of learning and contribution towards the scriptwriting process. By the end of the lesson, students should show the class a ‘sneak peek’ of their future performance piece.

Our Triple Pack is specifically aimed at upskilling senior drama students (upper KS3, senior phase GET and IB Diploma Program) using a cross-curricular approach which intersects with English Language and Literature, Media Studies and Visual Arts. A note from the author: This is scheme of work is mainly for KS3 students, but would also suit KS4, to experiment with devising techniques, and how to craft their own drama.
