A worksheet based around section 3 ‘En la tienda de recuerdos’ from Viva 3’s Module 5 ‘Una aventura en Madrid’. The perfect resource to reinforce the use of comparative structures in Spanish (‘más… que’, ‘menos …que’ and ‘tan…como’) as well as practising speaking skills via a role play at a souvenir shop. The tasks also incorporate translation and reading skills. There are extensions for more able students or early finishers. Answers are provided which makes this material perfect for independent learning and self-correction both in school and at home.

A logic problem through which pupils work out which Souvenirs each person buys and how much they cost. This puzzle works well for year 10 pupils following Stimmt! GCSE German Higher, Module 5, Unit 5 (Einkaufen in der Kaertner Strasse).

In this lesson students learn how to order different gifts from a souvenir shop with the phrase ‘ich möchte’. You may wish to substitute some of the tasks with listening and reading exercises from a textbook, however there should be enough material to cover a full lesson without.

Useful shopping phrases to match up. This can then lead on to students devising their own shopping dialogues. They could read / act out their dialogues
to others and ask questions about it. Good practice for GCSE role-play.
Two new style GCSE role play tasks that can easily be adapted to suit the language you teach. It comes with the new mark scheme and you can print 2 on 1 to save paper.
The worksheet is aimed at KS3/GCSE pupils studying the topic of clothes and shopping. The first exercise concentrates on revising numbers (match numbers and the price), the second focuses on vocab (masc/fem/plural) with a gap-filling task. The third exercise concentrates on shopping related vocab, with a question and answer matching exercice. On the text page, there is a reading exercise, it’s a dialogue set in a shop. On the last page, pupils can use the vocab seen in the text to fill in the gaps. Finally, there is a role play exercise.
These resources will work alongside mira or your own scheme of work. They are fun, engaging and easily adaptable. Lessons and activities are covered in depth through the presentation, with activities easily printable from powerpoint presentation.
The final outcome will be that students can use various methods of transport in their work, use time in both 12 hour and 24 hour format, order tickets and understand typical vocabulary used when travelling in Spain, learn about Seville and its culture, as well as use near future tense to say what they will do on a trip to Seville and what they will buy for gifts/souvenirs whilst there. They will also be able to give and understand directions. As mentioned all activities are easily printable for you to use in class.
There are a variety of activities, games, tasks and slides you can use straight away or change to suit your lessons or teaching styles.
