Velocity Time Graphs

(0)
Complete No-Prep lesson with exam questions, tasks and answers on velocity time graphs for AQA GCSE (9-1) Science / Physics. This lesson covers part of AQA GCSE Physics 4.5.6.1.5 / Combined Science 6.5.4.1.5. As a Secondary Science teacher, Deputy Headteacher, writer and examiner for many years I make high quality no-prep lessons so busy teachers can teach outstanding lessons without spending hours planning. This high quality lesson includes explanations, different types of in-lesson assessment (all with answers) and unique exam questions. My lessons are ideal for non-Physicists - as a Biologist who retrained as a Physics teacher I know how to take learners on a journey that builds up their understanding step by step, while still going into a lot of depth. The preview video shows a representative sample of slides from the resource so that you get a good idea of what it includes before you buy. What’s Included: • Teaching notes • Starter / Do Now Activity • Explanation slides in “chunked” sections with animated diagrams. • Worked examples of calculations / questions. • Multiple questions in different question styles and difficulties - no need for worksheets. Each “chunked” explanation section typically includes a set of “learning check / quick questions” followed by a set of in-depth questions on the learning from that “chunk” of the lesson. All questions have answers. • Exam-style questions on the whole lesson at the end of the lesson- these are unique, based on real exam questions but not just copied from exam boards. • Answers for all questions • All easily editable to adapt to your teaching or to use in existing lessons. • Slightly humorous, at points, if you like that sort of thing. The lesson was written for AQA GCSE Science / Physics but is very likely to be applicable to other exam specifications. Please leave a rating / review and all other feedback gratefully received!

Medicine Through Time Individuals

Edexcel GCSE 9-1 Medicine Through Time, c1250-present These key individual flashcards aim to get the students thinking of key people and their significance in medicine. I always find students have revised thoroughly for exams, but do not push their grades into the higher brackets as they focus on content rather than the individual’s impact and importance, particularly over time. These flashcards are great when addressing the 12 mark ‘explain why’ question, particularly when arguing over rapid change. There are 33 individuals listed, including those for the Historic Environment; The British sector of the Western Front. Students can use them in class (I use them as starters and plenaries) or to take home and use for their own personal revision programme. I also display them in the classroom (enlarged) and use when teaching this unit of study. The resource comes in Powerpoint format if there is a wish to adapt and change.

I’ve meticulously organised lesson plans for each year group to commemorate British Science Week, aligning with this year’s theme of Time. The lesson plans are intricately detailed and should support planning and delivering of lessons. Additionally, I’ve included a presentation highlighting prominent scientists relevant to each year group. Some Year groups will require minimum resources and some will more.

Time - Assembly

This is a fantastic assembly that looks at how we spend our time. This can be used at any time but may be most effective at the start or at the end of the year when the students have an opportunity to reflect on their own use of time. It covers: -Where units of time came from -Why the calendar doesn’t make sense -How the calendar could be better -How people in the UK use their time -What we can learn from the regrets of people who are dying about their lives -Inspirational quotes This is a very popular and thought provoking assembly, and one of my favorites. Highly recommended.

Times Tables Precision Teaching Booklet

Need a quick and easy intervention to support student to learn tables - This booklet is designed to support a student to develop recall of tables through a focused daily minute of recall. The booklet has a pre and post assessment as well as record space to track daily progress. Some students need to use a structured approach to get number facts into their long-term memory – they do not seem to keep them there just by regular use in maths lessons. This booklet can be used to support this process. On each page is a grid with items to prompt the student to say a tables fact. Each day they should count how many oral responses they can give in a minute – and record that on the sheet. The aim is to be able to recall a few more each day. The precision teaching approach works best if the student can do an activity using the content of the page they are currently working on for a few minutes ( 5 to 10) before they do the one-minute timed activity. There are lots of interactive maths sites online e.g. Topmarks: teaching resources, interactive resources, worksheets, homework, exam and revision help – and this is a great way to give student this opportunity in a way that they can do independently. At the end of the booklet is a tables square for reference and some ideas for extension activities.

This telling the time puzzle is a fun way to test students ability to tell the time. Students match the image of an analogue clock, the time in words, digital and 24-hour time. Included are variations of the follwing times: o’clock, half past, quarter past and to, 10 minute intervals and minute intervals. It is designed to be easily cut with little wastage. So either the teacher or tutor can prepare the cards by cutting them before hand, or students can cut their own cards, giving them a chance to see the solutions before they attempt the puzzle. Although this product is made in colour, it prints perfectly well in black and white. Available as part of Matching Activity Bundle One.
