Our school doesn’t teach normal lessons for the first two weeks of year 7 hence the reason why it starts on a lesson 5 and the first two units are a bit rushed. We have just done the module of Media and Culture and since September a lot of my lessons are more or less based on the expectations for the new GCSEs/AS/A2, both because I like the emphasis on authentic material and because they are extremely bright and aren’t satisfied with “normal textbook” work. I am teaching this in a couple of day and will update with their reaction. The answer slide is kept to a minimum as I want to see what they come up with. This is a whole half-term worth of resources for high ability year 8 classes. There is differentiation and extension. The smartboard documents usually have things hidden in them so use the eraser tool to uncover any possible answers or extra task on each slide. This is a whole module's worth of lessons. When I taught this we had a 6 weeks long half-term, therefore there are 10 lessons planned here, with resources, notebook/PowerPoint files, differentiated resources, etc. Some of these resources are adapted from others I have found (mainly a couple of PowerPoint files, but everything else is my original work.
