This resource was prepared by a colleague - fantastic for low ability students (GCSE) or high ability (KS3) for preparing keys. Very engaging way for students to develop the skills required.
Took some of the stuff I found on here and made it into a lesson I taught.
The Concept Questions are a good starter and actually got students to think about difference between mass and weight before I had to do anything.
This is a 1 hour lecture to cover the whole topic 4.6.1 - 4.6.1.6 and written using the AQA 9-1 Trilogy Spec. This is how we teach all of the Trilogy course with the mantra 'you can't apply knowledge you don't know!'
Research Spaced Learning as necessary but...
The session should run as:
Section 1 - You lecture, they listen
Brain Gym - use one from Youtube
Section 2 - You repeat the lecture, they do simple tasks
Brain Gym repeated
Section 3 - You repeat the lecture, they do slightly more challenging tasks
Use the Kerboodle 'Bump your grade' tasks or ExamPro questions to consolidate the key content covered in this lecture.
