I don't know if this is useful to anyone but I made it to share with my parents at a meeting about the year 1 phonics screening. It contains information on what phonics is, when, where and why the screening is taking place.
An alphabet strip I made to match the sea/sky image used in read write inc. You may want to change some of the letters/font to fit in with your particular school's style.
This is my first upload and don't know if it useful but thought I would share. Here are some phase 3 flipcharts. For each sound we have an action so I have made a powerpoint to practice sounds and actions for all phonemes and a matching sound mat the children have on the table. The idea of the bob the builder, detective and ghost pages are that you drag the light/trowel/ghost around the page and as you see the sound within it the children say it aloud. There are also a couple of pages where you need to rub out the highlighted page to reveal a word to read.
A simple picture sheet of things children may use in the classroom. I use this on the first day and children work in pairs to find each of the objects. We then talk about where they found them, how to look after them and when we might need to use them.
A child friendly version of the expected level for the Year 2 assessment framework for maths to stick in the front of books.
Display version also available
A set of cards to be used for display purposes. Each card has a statement (or part statement) from the expected level of the Year 2 assessment framework form maths.
These child friendly statements can be used alongside the matching version I have created to be stuck into books (separate resource available)
Numberline made using lilypads with written number words underneath. When printed and laminated it fits neatly along the length of my whiteboard. Hopefully your whiteboard is the same length!
