LGBT History Month Assembly used for a whole school assembly across years 7 to 11 with some tutor time follow up activities

Assembly for secondary school whole school on confidence with tutor time activities attached. I wrote it for year 9 but the other Heads of Year used it from year 7 to 11 and it worked well.

This could be used as a whole school assembly for Homophobic bullying or in tutor time as it has some tutor activities attached to it. There are some links to videos too or it could be used in PHSE lesson. The resource is for The International Day on May 17th against Homophobic bullying

This assembly was written for KS4 FOR INTERNATIONAL KINDNESS DAY 2020 but would be fine for KS3. It contains notes for each slide so tutors can deliver it in tutor groups as large gatherings are not taking place. It is supported by video clips and was written for a 20mins tutor session for assembly delivered by the tutor. WRITTEN AS A POWERPOINT WITH LINKED VIDEOS TO BE SHOWN ON THE INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD

An Assembly for secondary school students on International Peace Day 2020 including the story about the origami cranes. Tutor activity included where tutor group make origami hearts or cranes or doves and make a peace display in their tutor room

This can be used as an assembly presentation or it could be delivered by tutors over a series of tutor times as it has activities and video clips linked to it. You may want to change or adapt parts of it for your own use or specific age group. It includes science about HIV/AIDS and about viruses as well as facts.

This assembly is about inspiring people from the world of art,music or sport. I chose one of each , you may have to change the inspiring people to ones you prefer as the ones I chose all meant something to me but might not work for you but you might find the template useful to use. These 3 powerpoints can be used as a linked theme for World Religion Day. They have been written to fit into our adapted remote tutor time in the morning registration on Teams which follows a slightly different approach now. 3 resources are a short assembly on World Religion Day, A follow up activity on the Golden Rule and how it is different in different religions and a Cultural activity based on the Geometric patterns seen in Islamic Religion and how they are designed. Encouraging students to be creative and design a pattern for themselves to promote good well being.
