Has anyone been on the Eurostar? Look at a map of the world and identify France. Today we are going to be learning French greetings so hold on tight lets take a trip to France! (PPT shows train travelling at high speed) let’s go for a walk around the streets of France, what can we see?

Adapted from Letters and Sounds p 165 to suit my alternative pronunciations teaching. I used a visualizer to share the story with the chn and taught them how to complete a phoneme spotter by highlighting 'ou&' graphemes in he first few sentences. Chn then completed the phoneme spotter with the Talk Partners. As a class we reassembled and completed a column grid of the alternative pronunciations of &';ou' as you, could, shoulder.
