This is a self differentiating worksheet using 7 UK television adverts to encourage pupils to examine the effectiveness of the adverts, and to give thought to why they are effective. It also gives the pupils opportunity to give opinions.

An iterative ppt presentation starting with simple sentences through complex sentences and onto basic usage of the semicolon. Only really for use as an introduction to the punctuation. I used it with both my Year 8 and 9 groups to try and encourage more diverse creative writing styles. It seems to work!
