Story boards to show how pollutants are made. Covers carbon monoxide, particulates, oxides of nitrogen and sulfur dioxide, as required by OCR 21st Cen. Also, a graphic organiser to record info. I used this as a numbered heads together - fill in yours with the story board then share with your 'home&' group of four to complete the table. Make harder by removing texts from boards and/or table.

A short lesson on the properties of metals for KS3 (used for high ability Y7). I taught this as an interview lesson - rated Outstanding and offered the job :). Includes some literacy (what are properties?), a 'crowd sourcing' activity where each student has the definition to a different property and 'Find Someone Who' where they need to move around to match the properties of metals with their uses. Could be altered to include ductile and other props.
