A set of resources on an introduction of the properties of a circle, circumference of a circle and area (with estimating). I have used some resources already available on tes and adapted them to fit our school. Let me know what you think.

I use this investigation to encourage learners to discover the nth term. I printed out and laminated the large lily pads and got learners up to the front to hop and slide from each lilypad. I also made little frogs that the learners used to try to discover the pattern.

I used this resource with year 10 set 1, I printed off a Circle with a centre and laminated them . The class then investigated the relationship with drawing on the diagrams and measuring with a protractor.

Way of explaining trial and improvement to low ability pupils. My level 3-6 class really enjoyed this lesson.
