I've made a Year 1 class tracker in line with the new 2014 National Curriculum. Class trackers for all aspects of English, Maths and Science. The top row is for you to insert the initials of the children. Tick each child once they&'ve demonstrated understanding for each requirement. I find it useful to use a class tracker to identify any gaps in the childrens understanding.

This lesson plan looks at chronological order and putting events in order from B.C to A.D. There is also an interactive PowerPoint quiz to assess their learning at the end of the lesson.

This quiz can be used to consolidate learning in a lesson on 2D shapes. The first part of the quiz tests childrens ability to recognise properties of shapes. The second part asks children to identify shapes by their name. Their learning is extended by introducing 3D shapes at the end.
