Area and perimeter differentiated worksheet. Pupils are given a design brief to design a bungalow for Mr and Mrs Smith. They need to design the bungalow, work out areas and perimeters to find the price of wall coverings and floor covering. It also involves filling in a table correctly and using scale drawings. This is one we use for year 7 as their one of their two mathematics projects/ I have taken ideas for this project from many different other resources and have developed it into this resource. It uses a variety of mathematical skills but is mostly focusing on getting the year 7 expectations of homework projects clear. This includes a selection of resources that are differentiated with PowerPoint for all activities, 2 differentiated booklets (to use instead of books), homework (Nandos style and differentiated) and 1 other worksheet needed for starter but created by another user. I have added this 1 small worksheet for ease but it alone is also available for free on TES. It was planned for a specialist and a non-specialist teacher so is very accessible! There are opportunities for AFL, developing Lit and Num, DIRT tasks and good discussions. It is challenging to prepare for new GCSE. A simple Christmas lesson for year 8. It also has lego nativity slides that was borrowed from another TES user so thankyou. There are clips from Miracle on Evergreen Terrace, Charlie Brown and the John Lewis Advert for 2014. Choice of tasks at the end. Its the lesson I am using to help my year 8s wind down after a hectic term and their previous lesson was an assessment.

This is a five pillars assessment and comes with a marking grid. When I used this I printed two marking grids per page and then we used those to assess the work. Pupils used one grid and highlighted what they thought they had and hadnt done. Underneath they wrote a WWW and EBI for next time I then used the second grid to do the same with a level and then a EBI comment to meet target. It saves so much time when marking and can be adapted for anything
