You Don’t Know What War Is is the diary of a 12 year old Ukranian girl who was living in the Ukraine with her grandmother when the war broke out in 2022. The book is her diary and recounts her first hand experience of war. This is a fully resourced unit providing a comprehensive handout for teachers with detailed discussion prompts covering a range of question types. It also comes with a 56 slide PPT for whole class questioning covering the entire book. This resource would be suitable for a year 5, 6 or 7 class.

Shackleton’s Journey lessons 1 and 2. In this two lesson pack, children apply the skills of concise note taking and presenting information in a suitable format to create a non chronological report on Ernest Shackleton. The pack includes a WAGOLL report, a PPT as a focus for teaching input and lesson information for teachers.

Shackleton’s Endurance Boat Sail Design Investigation This resource is suitable for classes learning about Shackleton’s Antarctic journey. Pupils take on the role of boat designers and apply their knowledge of forces and calculating area in order to design and build a boat suitable for tackling Antarctic conditions. This investigation focuses on the sail shape and design of boats. It includes a teacher PPT resource to introduce the project, a teacher tips sheet and a pupil design and results sheet.

This complete lesson introduces the equivalence between fractions, decimals and percentages. It focuses on hundredths, progressing onto tenths. It includes a teacher input resource and an independent pupil activity.
