This is a compact revision guide to help students who are revising for WJEC GCSE Music examinations.
Each section looks in detail at the types of answers each question might be looking for. It is by no means a comprehensive revision guide; more a 'quick fix' for on the go revision.

Based on the traditional children's story, this version of Hansel and Gretel is perfect for a class assembly or short play. Running between 12-15 minutes, the play retells the story using humour and music and, although ideally suited for lower KS2, could easily be made to work with older or younger groups. All songs come with backing tracks and lead sheets for rehearsal or performance and are original.
Due to the nature of school assemblies and productions, purchasers are free to change any aspect of the work to suit their needs for performance within their own school or institution.

This is a short, printable/copyable guide to help KS3 students write and talk about music going beyond "this is rubbish!". I have found the resource useful to help lower ability GCSE students to catch up with some basics too.
It works well printed in a range of sizes and styles, however I find that turning it into an A5 booklet is most useful.

You can start or end lessons with them, play as many or as few as you like and do with it what you will. I've found them great when running out of things to do, especially at the ends of term.

So, since we're creating dragons for St David's Day, I thought I would share this hand drawn template I made so that you can create your own cardboard (or wooden!) dragon.
It's simple enough - print out the templates and trace them onto your chosen card (the joining notches will need to be made thicker / thinner depending on the card you are using). Where a piece is needed more than once, I have written how many you will need for each.
Then, cut out and assemble - no glue required!!
Feel free to adapt the templates how you like; change the angles of notches or shapes as you please.
This is great for anybody who has dragons / myths & legends / anything Welsh as their topics. Whatever you do, please leave some love and comments below!

A basic (mainly KS3) melodic lead sheet for the song "Hey, brother" by Avicii. There are two sheets - one with note names written below and one without. Use as required.
Can be used as a class band project, small groups or solo performances. Any instrument combinations can be used.
Useful for teaching performance skills, time signatures (4/4 - 6/4) rhythm and structure.
NB* Take the resource with a pinch of salt - anything which needs changing can be changed - it is merely a starting point to helping keep KS3 (Year 9) engaged.

A little keyboard guide which has been designed to sit behind the keys of a standard musical keyboard, including piano, without being intrusive. There are two pages - one of continuous strips across several octaves, the other one octave.
It is semi-universal, which means you might need to do some trimming/adjusting in places if they don't quite fit (but they should be OK in most cases.) I would suggest keeping each strip as a separate piece and placing on the keyboard individually.
If printed on card or laminated, they should stay upright perfectly well.
