used to introduce my year 2s to division by grouping

intro to measuring length. covering basics

introduction to measuring weight using scales (g and kg)

introduction to sequences. looks at number, shape and colour.

interesting experiment for kids! it is true 98% of the time but some kids have really long arms in which case it doesn't work! I've done this with year 2 and 3 and they all love it!

following on from yesterday's intro. Children all have whiteboards and unifix cubes to support them. Children come up to the front to highlight the key information on the board to enable them to write out the division calculation.
