A Jekyll and Hyde picture book with short summaries of each chapter. I made for this my extremely weak Year 10 class however would be good for any ability as a revision guide.

A complete SOW with reading assessment using exam framework for KS3 mid/high ability. Looks at WW1 conflict and modern conflict (9/11) Had really good feedback from the kids so hopefully you’ll enjoy too! Instructions in the notes section of the PPTs. 21 lessons in total

Relative clauses lesson and worksheet - Completed with my year 7s but good for any skills lesson. There is also an extended writing task at the end so students can apply their learning alongside peer assessment.

An 'outstanding' lesson on prejudice in the media - comparing how males and females are represented in both television and magazines. Images are just taken from OK and Men's health. I used this with a year 8 mixed ability. Differentiated tasks shown by colours: Red -easy all must complete Yellow Green Purple - challenge

Fun lesson teaching students what an oxymoron is. Students discuss well known phrases as well as conducting their own. They then apply this into a piece of writing. (My class then acted out the pieces that they had written - was fab!) Done with year 7 HA but I think appropriate for any class.

Cirque du freak SOW with resources. I also produced a reading assessment to match. I did not reach the end of the book but there are lessons to match up to chapter 19.

SOW for animal poetry - medium to high ability.

A scheme of work dedicated to Shakespeare. Includes: Introduction, context, all the world's a stage, Romeo and Juliet research task, Romeo and Juliet prologue analysis, Baz Luhrman Symbolism, A variety of activities that are differentiated by colour (red, amber, green, purple). Done with Yr 8 mixed ability classes where students responded very well.

Several lessons on myths and legends: Character types, roles of a hero. Catered towards the story of pandora's box.

Lesson whereby students are to write a newspaper report based on incidents that have happened in the play. There is a slide with a key summary of events so students know exactly what their article should be on. Planning sheet provided. Done with year 8 mixed ability

A fun lesson that I did with my year 7s (could be done with KS3 in general).. Easter starters which leads on to them producing their own poem.

A one off fun lesson looking at the history of Valentines day, key words that can be linked to Valentines day and 'secret valentine' poetry. Used with year 7 and they absolutely loved it.
