Compound area - low ability

(2)
Simple compound area sheet for low ability pupils designed to be used with paper rectangles. I drew these onto squared paper and photocopied them so the students worked out the area of the rectangles first (either by multiplying or counting squares) then cut them out and placed them on the compound shapes to work out the area. It printed to scale on my printer. Rectangles used are 7 x 3, 8 x 4, 8 x 2, 5 x 5 , 5 x 6 and 10 x 1. If I get access to a scanner I'll add my rectangles but it's tricky at school and I don't have one at home!

Transforming trig graphs

(1)
Made this sheet to use with my top set year 11s to practise graph transformations while getting familiar with the shape of the trig graphs. Includes translations and reflections only.
