Eight word documents that are eight posters to be put up as displays around Maths classrooms. I have tried to put real-life objects that are the shapes described to bring Maths to life. I designed these specifically for my bottom sets GCSE classes to help them remember, but it can work for brighter KS3 displays for pupils too. Please rate and comment. Thank you.

This is a display that our HoD created, showing how literacy relates to maths I've also included a pictures of my display - you&'ll see that once you print out the word documents, you have to cut them up and stick them on backing card (folding it in half). If students have some sense they&';ll realise the number of dashes on each card represent the letters in the key words displayed. What is also great about it is that its interactive - kids have to go and lift the 'lid' to find the answer. Please rate and comment. Thank you.

Decimals Tarsia Task - Mental addition of 2-place decimals to the next whole number

(0)
An activity where a puzzle is used to get learners to use counting up as a strategy to perform mental addition of 2-place decimals to the next whole number by solving missing number sentences. This can be used with any group of students from the Highest Achievers in Year 5 to the Lowest Attainers in Year 11. I have attached the Tarsia fjsw file, but also created word/document version for those who don't have the Tarsia software. The word/document versions are of the full version of the puzzle (standard parallelogram), the simplified version, their respective solutions and the table format for a mix and match activity. If you've found this useful/helpful - please feel free to rate highly and leave a positive comment :)

I got really annoyed that there was nothing (in terms of a presentation) to work through these algebra problems, which are so important for lower KS3!!! So I created this using materials from various web sites and the New Maths Frameworking Year 7 Pack 2 book. So I am not claiming any rights to the content itself - my only credit is putting it together in a way that can be presented to the children! Hope you find it useful and it saves you having to created something from scratch! Please rate and review. Thank you.

Just print off and fill in by hand with info that applies to your learners (name of school, location, age range, etc). You're showing high expectations and hopes for them even in your displays! :D All seven posters are in the 'Facebook' style (only it states 'Fakebook' on top of the pages). Please rate and comment.
