This is a reference booklet for verbs and tenses especially for the new AQA GCSE French (2016) . My students have been using it for a while and have got used to referring to it when preparing written work for controlled assessments. I have fixed the references made to the passé simple and changed to passé composé.

Resources adapted and made to look at different methods of revision suiting different learning styles and resources. There is a presentation that I use at the beginning of a school year or re-visit if I think vocabulary learning is not successful. I hand out learning grids when I need proof of revision and some just like them. I have created a booklet that can be given out as well. I also have pages for my classes on www.quizlet.com which can be used for active revision and competition between students as they can join your classes. It's really easy and quick to create and assign revision to classes.

This is a comprehensive revision sheet that I used to get classes to write more extended pieces of writing about themselves and others. They can do practice sentences that you create first and then themselves and then choose famous people.

Activity involving reading and discussing a poem based on the vocabulary in this unit and then the students create their own poem using a template- can be for display word processed or written.

Powerpoint with lyrics for a song to practise the vocabulary for this unit to the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas. I gave parts to different pupils if they wanted them and we all joined in on the question and the last line. Fast and furious , but great craic! ( Northern Ireland expression - good fun!) P.S. I have edited this in the last couple of days as it wasn't scanning correctly and I have added the tune to sing to so I don't need to rely just on me singing! However, this makes it even faster....

This is a worksheet to use with page 29 exercise 7 to help students to do the survey, record results and then record some of their own opinions of subjects. There is a more basic version for use with lower ability classes or can be completed in less time. I found that it got the students up and talking!

I have created a blank timetable to complete with their own subjects - we have 10 periods a day and a split lunch, so it would need to be adapted. There is also a list of all the subjects that our Year 8s (Year 7 in England and Wales) need to do this.

There is a powerpoint with activities to introduce and practise the phrases and a work sheet to complete from the powerpoint. I also play Jacques a dit - French version of Simon says with actions for each instruction - they always want to play it again!

This booklet is based on the Studio GCSE textbook and has Sentence Starters and Sentence Builders for all the General Conversation questions on Pages 188-189 for all 8 Modules of the book. I t is also good for students preparing for the writing test as it allows them to revise all topics covered. I use it in pairs or small groups to start with using mini whiteboards to write test sample sentences on the topic covered and then they can use it to write sample answers for the questions on each topic as you progress through the course. I find that students become more and more adventurous and sophisticated with their writing with this as a scaffold to build on. writing independently is scary for many students and this gives them a head start and builds their confidence.

A simple matching game for pupils of lower ability to play to learn the school subjects learnt in Studio 1 Module 2. I laminated them and let the pupils cut them out and then will keep them for future use.
