Continuous Provision Planning EYFS - With progression and challenge

(0)
This continuous provision planning suggests areas to be included in Nursery & Reception continuous provision & the resources to include - resources are progressive and levelled to encourage challenge. Planning also supports adult interactions by suggesting key skills & vocab to encourage/ model as the children play in each of the areas. The continuous provision plan is broken down into suggestions for High, Middle and Low Reception and High, Middle and Low Nursery - so that children of all abilities can be suitably challenged. This continuous provision planning was well received during an Ofsted visit in April 2023 as it showed how children were being challenged during child initiated time through continuous provision and adult interactions. Print This continuous provision planning on A3 and display the planning sheets in the areas of the classroom to support staff. The resources on continuous provision plan will remain constant throughout the year. All areas of the classroom can then be regularly enhanced when appropriate to match topics, interests or to encourage children to work here that do not usually. All resources in the continuous provision should be stored neatly. Children need to be supported in knowing how to tidy the continuous provision effectively with photos on boxes of where things go and a photo on the shelf to signal where each box goes. As well as this a photo of the area when it is tidy could be displayed.
