Expand brackets and simplify expressions differentiated worksheet

(15)
Differentiated worksheets with bronze, silver and gold success criteria: one per section. Nothing very exciting but it might save a bit of work! The sections are: collecting like terms; expanding a single bracket; expanding two linear brackets then collecting like terms. Each section gets progressively harder by introducing negative signs and coefficients. Two pages per A4 sheet to save on photocopying. You are welcome Mr or Mrs-finance-director! *~*~*~*Keep Sparking*~*~*~*

Find the mistake BIDMAS puzzle with 5 mistakes

This is a solved BIDMAS tarsia puzzle on a word doc but with 5 deliberate mistakes. I have included a solutions page and you don't need tarsia software to open it as it is just snipped. I advised my students to work out each set, showing all working in their books. This acted as a double check that they had found those with a genuine mistake rather than making a mistake themselves. It also evidences work in their books. *~*~*~* Keep Sparkling! *~*~*~*

Differentiated Median and Mean worksheet for L3

(3)
This is a worksheet I made for my bottom set year 7, who are currently working at level 3. It is structured and differentiated. I have also titled each section with the bronze, silver or gold success criteria. I produced it in comic sans 16pt and duplicated the page. It is designed to be printed as two pages per sheet unless students have visual impairment. Please feel free to leave comments or suggestions below. *~*~*~* Keep Sparkling *~*~*~*

Maths review questions GCSE and KS3

(1)
A selection of review questions that I have produced for marking feedback. I got fed up of writing them out, so decided to produce electronic copies. This also takes ages but I figure (hope!) I'm saving time in the future. I try to produce all my resources on a split A4 page so that they can be stuck in standard exercise books without folding. However, there will always be a student who find it necessary to fold sheets to the size of a postage stamp! Please comment on any errors or adjustments that are needed. I'll add more as I produce them. I hope this saves people some time. *~*~*~*Keep Sparkling*~*~*~*
