Rotation, reflection and translation workbook

(15)
The PDF document contains 9 sheets. Each sheet has a task relating to rotation, reflections and/or translation. When they are all completed the letters spell CONGRUENT as detailed on the cover sheet. I have uploaded the cover sheet separately so that it can be altered depending on the needs of the class. I designed it to be completed as a project but I'm sure it would work well as separate worksheets is preferred. I have added another file - this replaces 3 of the worksheets in the booklet for a more difficult task for the more able.

Summer Holiday Maths Functional skills Task

Aimed at year 9's going into 10s. The idea is to introduce them to applying mathematics and interpreting information for the functional part of the GCSE Mathematics. It covers a variety of topics. There are 3 levels of difficulty that can be mixed and matched. Please let me know if you find any errors. I have checked it and checked it but since I made it occasionally I read what I know should be there rather than what is. The PDF file is everything together and can be used instead of the publisher documents if you don&'t want to edit them.

Inequalities Red Yellow Green Tarsia Star

This is in a PDF file because its the only way to put it in one file. The activity is huge, it has 3 levels of difficulty, green being the easiest (showing on a number line) and red being the hardest (solving including squares). Because some of the yellow ones have been scanned back in it means some of the triangles are slightly smaller than others. This doesn't cause a problem when doing the jigsaw. Or it hasn&'t for my kids.

Both documents are the same worksheet - just the publisher one is editable. It was designed for a foundation year 10 class (predicted grades of D) as revision of some of the topics we have covered so far this year.

Geogebra Transformations tutorial student booklet

Step by step instructions on how to use Geogebra to do transformations that is student friendly. I’ve experienced problems where some pupils computers don&'t show the transformed object even though they have done it. Most work without a problem and it does seem to depend on the computer or image type. If you know otherwise though, please let me know. UPDATE: Have uploaded a support sheet for the online version which also covers the differences in the version the booklet was made for and the current version. Using the online version mostly gets rid of any problems with the image appearing. EDIT 19th Feb 2020 - This resource is currently out of date for most versions of Geogebra. I will be looking to update it in the coming months.

The format is based on the team games book that my classes are used to. They will need to draw their own table or you could provide one. This was made for a year 8 class middle-low ability who were able to complete most of the table but not the extension task.

I did not make this myself. I downloaded it off the TES and it took me quite a while so I condensed the 34 files into 2 and have uploaded it again for others convenience. If the owner of these resources wishes to download these and upload them again then I will take it down.

This was created to introduce my department to using the Qwizdom handsets in the classroom. It is a teacher guide. It is not a comprehensive guide to using them, just a helping hand to get you started. Their how to guide wasn't as user friendly. Both documents are the same file - just different formats.
