This is a 5 week scheme of work ending in APP on Media. The work is creating a charity advert using video cameras and Apple Macs to complete. It is 15 lessons worth of media exposure and i have used this succesfully with a year 9 group. You can pick your own APP resource to use. The paper adverts are not attached but you can pick them up from anywhere.

This is a full lesson with a grammar starter and then the definition of a blog and then how to write one. Designed for after Christmas

They are to find words in a dictionary and write out one meaning. To check understanding they are to then write a sentence using each word.

This is a ppt designed to get them to think about pictures and what they might represent and then turn them into halloween poetry. To go further you could ask them to do some drawings for a display.

This ppt has some activities for students studying Macbeth

Explains what a limmerick is and gives them some examples. Explanation retrieved from an online source.

It mentions a poetry book. This can just be an A4 piece of paper folder to write their best ones in neat.

These are written out for the three topics

This incorporates the book as well as information about things that are mentioned in the book. It is using information from Wikipedia and then questions on each piece of information to ensure they understand what was happening at the time when the book was written.

Activity shows a picture from the most modern film and asks them to find a quote to say something about the characters. Each character has a different question. They must also say what it means.
