Blank Times Table practice grids - up to 12x12

(30)
4 Grids of varying complexity with all multiplications from 1x1 to 12x12. One grid "straight through" on both columns and rows (i.e. 1-12 in order) Two grids: one with columns going straight through and the rows mixed up and the other vice versa. One grid with both rows and columns mixed up. I use these as weekly challenges to my Yr 5s and 6s with children looking to either fill in more than they had the previous week or in a faster time. I have a group of very competitive boys who even take spare sheets to practice with! You can easily differentiate further by highlighting certain rows or columns for your less able to attempt.

Santa timetables activity

(1)
Santa is travelling around the world shopping for presents. This differentiated activity has simple 'read the timetable&' questions and more in depth &';find and work out information' type questions. I designed this activity for a year 4 class who had mixed knowledge of timetables. The questions (ppt file) are the same for all abilities but the timetables (doc file) they are using are differentiated. LA = 1/4s, 1/2 and o&'clock times only. MA = 5min intervals. HA = 1min intervals. This would work as a class activity while learning about timetables or as a revision session later on.

Sumt2 Yr3 Numeracy Planning Robots

(4)
Based on the film 'Robots&' (U) - very engaging for my boy heavy lower ability maths set but differentiated for Year 3 ranging 1C-3A and was taught in parallel in higher ability set. A 5 week &';mop up' sequence of work. Mainly the dry &'U&A&'; strands from the Nat Num Strat that were left after the previous half term's planning by a colleague. The film references put the concepts into ‘real’ contexts and situations for the children. NO worksheets included but all the info you need to make your own is included. SMART files included. Strands at top of plans.
