FIFA World Cup 2014 Simulation Activity

Based on an activity from nrich (attached), this is a really fun activity to do with any year group before or during the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Students simulate each of the 64 matches at the World Cup simply by rolling a dice. You can make it as complicated as you like (see PPT). I've made a PPT that takes you through it all, a worksheet that involves analysing goal data from Euro 2012 to set up the simulation, scoresheets, score cards, and found an Excel spreadsheet you can use to input the scores. I&'ve even included two PPTs to use to assign teams to students! Have fun!
