A guide to making borax slime. Great fun in science club or as a polymers practical with KS4 students - works great with food colouring or luminol and glow in the dark slime is always a winner!

We've done this as an end of term activity for years. We call it "Flubber". Technically it's a non-Newtonian liquid (like custard). Great for annoying all the other departments in the college as the kids play with it for the rest of the day. Another related ideas is to put the flubber or a cornflour mix on top of a loudspeaker then turn it up - wierd animals ensure!

We are unable to make slime in my school. Borax has been classed as a low level carcinogen. Recipe seems fine
