Let your students try to save the Earth by destroying incoming meteors in this tense algebra simulation game. Great for giving ideas on teaching strategies and developing CPD in the classroom. This video shows students planning a trajectory, plotting coordinates and firing a missile before time runs out. The game begins with linear equations, but extends to quadratic and cubic equations as the meteors get harder to shoot down. Incorrect inputs cause missiles to fly off course and bring the Earth closer to destruction. A lesson plan can be downloaded to incorporate into your teaching.
