A briefing sheet is given which prepares students for the possibility the crown jewels may have been swapped for fakes (one of the links is to a video of Crown Jewels exhibition, or could use the clip of Moriarty stealing the jewels from the latest BBC adaptation of Sherlock Holmes). The briefing sheet asks students to prepare a report detailing how the police could test the jewels. Also attached is a comic strip outline and free comic strip software that can be used on computer (and accompanying planning sheet for software). This also supports literacy across the curriculum.
