This lesson highlights the disaster that took place at Aberfan in 1966 to show how the development of natural resources can have tragic consequences. It moves on to explore how the area can be redeveloped and regenerated. There are pupil tasks to explore and suggest their own solutions as to how regeneration can take place in this area.

Will be looking forward to developing and using this resource to develop part of my "Risky World" module. I was 10/11 when this disaster happened and I used to live a few miles from Aberfan - so very useful for wgenterprise to lay these excellent foundations.
