Welcome to the Absolutely Pointless Science Quiz, this was used in my school for science week. This resource is based on the BBC quiz show ‘Pointless’. The students all enjoyed playing this game. This would be great for an end of term quiz for Easter or Summer.
There are 18 categories covering all three sciences and some science fiction as well.
All the slides are hyperlinked with extra animations. To play the game you click on the round that you want to play; the students take it in turns to answer one of the questions. When they have chosen their answer click on the question to reveal the answer. If they got it correct then click on the answer to play the animation to see how many points they got. The fewer points they get, the better the score.
This is a resource that I have heavily modified from a pointless quiz found on TES. I have added new sound effects, many more rounds and questions.
