I work with learners all the time and the one thing I have found is that they really struggle with adding fractions with different denominators!
There are a couple of different methods for adding fractions, the method I find to me the easiest one for learners to remember is where they multiply both denominators and take it from there

To help learners understand the process I have devised a double sided fool proof sheet whereby learners can follow an example, try a part completed one, then one without any prompts. using also examples on the board I find they quickly grasp the concept, Just try to help here, this document could be a lifesaver!

My GCSE group really took to these and can now complete adding fractions with ease! This is considered as the hardest process with fractions, but crack this and your learners will be happy
Just £2.00 and could save you lots of time and effort

I have also added in some Adding fraction cards as a freebie!

Thanks for looking and happy teaching!
