PLEASE NOTE: I’ve left this resource up in case anyone still wants it, but it no longer matches the AQA GCSE Biology syllabus.

Detailed 6-lesson scheme of work for AQA B2.1 Cells and simple cell transport, for the GCSE syllabus for examination from 2014.

Each lesson includes: lesson objectives (based on syllabus); activity instructions, including full set of resources (seven included here, others as links to free resources on TES and other sites) including presentations, worksheets, simulations, games and experiments; choices of activity, with explicit differentiation where appropriate; full equipment list for each lesson; links to past and future learning in KS3 and KS4; and additional notes for teachers. Web links all checked and working as of 5th December 2014.

Topics include: animal and plant cells; organelles; specialised cells; cells, tissues, organs, organ systems, organisms; diffusion; digestive system organs; and plant organs.

To get an indication of what this scheme is like, look at my free resource ‘AQA P1.1 Heat Transfer scheme of work’ on the TES website. This scheme is more detailed.
