Begins with starter on perimeter and LO. Lesson proceeds to working out the area of rectangles by counting squares, coupled with tiered questions. The lesson then engages students to think of easier ways to find out the area (length x width, base x height) and then differentiates with questions. The last activities engages learners to differentiate between finding the area and perimeter of rectangles. The lesson concludes with a Bloom's Taxonomy styled plenary.
