Homework booklet for unit B3 for OCR Gateway. Designed for a three week teaching schedule. Two sections:
1. Review of each unit using BBC Bitesize research and a key word activity. Aims to support students to learn how to reflect on their learning and make revision notes.
2. Collaborative, literacy and data homework. (one homework per week).
Fully differentiated so that any student can complete the booklet.
To answer the question in the comments - BUG means: BOX the instruction word (e.g. describe), UNDERLINE the science key words (e.g. electricity) and make sure you understand them, GO through it again (to check you understand the question). I teach students to use this technique to decode questions. Particularly questions where there are two parts - e.g. Describe the structure of a reflex arc and explain why they protect organisms. In this two part question the Box around the instruction words identifies the two parts of the question.
