This is a 15 minute tutor time PSHE session about budgeting. It was originally designed for a Year 7 PSHE tutor time session but it can be used as an assembly or easily lengthened for a whole lesson. It is suitable for Ages 11-16 (Years 7-11, KS3-KS4, Grades 6-10).
It includes:
- Definitions of budgeting, current account, overdraft
- Why budgeting is so important to learn about for now and for the future
- Outgoings for adults
- Two downloaded videos which will never disappear
- Thinking and discussion tasks
This fits into the Financial Capability section of the PSHE curriculum and can be used for any whole school session for finance.
