Supporting material- Online Prezi PPT with video, suspenseful music and pictorial writing prompts. Includes reinforcement of features of suspenseful writing; short sentences/paragraphs, powerful verbs, ellipsis, use of senses, similes/metaphors etc. Includes link to BBC interview with Malorie Blackman re creating tension.

    Great resource. Just what I was beginning to make myself, but you have saved me lots of time and effort. I have just adapted it slightly to fit in with the short story that I am using to inspire their writing. Thank you very much.

    This looks brilliant and just what I need for Y6 tomorrow. Yes, the Malorie Blackman link doesn't work, because the BBC have changed their learning clips site, but it can still be found:
    I hadn't used Prezi before, but it's great (once you get over the seasickness!) - for fellow rookies, you have to keep pressing the forward arrow... took me a while to work that out!
