It covers how Islam started, where this period fits into history, the countries that formed the Islamic Empire, inventions and ideas that came from the Golden Age, what made it successful, the Silk Road (trading), the city of Baghdad, comparisons between Baghdad and Britain, Islamic artwork, designing and making an Islamic house. English lessons are also link in by writing a postcard home and making a persuasive leaflet promoting the city of Baghdad and the accommodation (the Islamic house that they make).
