This is an assembly I delivered to KS2 about Global Connections/Citizens.
These slides facilitated discussion.
Activities included:
-started question matrix asking questions about foods in their homes, footballers etc
-links to youtube videos about being a global citizen
- slides facilitating discussion about ipads (how many have been sold since 2010, jobs created in that time, process of upskilling yourself, being flexible and open, transferable skills etc)
-matching activity about what a global citizen might say (needs participants)
-using a case study of Thailand, looked at import/export figures - discussion about how many people that might involve, what types of jobs
- plenary: guesses about how many people are in the world
- youtube links to video 'If the world was 100 people' - discussion that you can make a difference
