A simple interactive whiteboard maths game to support the development of children’s early number skills. Children are invited to subitise the spots on the domino from one to five (see how many without counting) and click on the matching symbolic number card. This game fits well with WhiteRose Maths Spring Term Unit Alive in Five and supports subisiting skills within five - a key early learning goal in Reception.

This interactive maths game can be used to introduce different ways of making amounts within five. It can be an ideal introduction to independent learning activities and maths investigation, exploring domino patterns and different ways of making amounts within five. For example, children can match and sort all the different ways of making four and five and begin to create and design their own arrangements using resources from @spotonnumber. This game is easily editable and 32 slides in length.

This maths game can be played as a whole class or during small-group or 1-1 adult-led sessions. It could also be used to assess whether children are able to confidently subitise numbers within five.
