Kaltume and Hadiza live in central Nigeria. Kaltume would like to go to school but her family need her to earn money at the market instead. Hadiza is able to go to school but sometimes misses out because she is needed at home.

This is an excellent resource. A variety of activites, good pace and challenge. I grouped my students with one G+T in each group who were given the role of the Education Minister. Initially the G+T students sat together and used the materials to predict what decisions they might have to make. The G+T students were the only ones with access to the costing sheet. This led to interesting and heated discussion when they returned to their groups!
