A unit of planning (6 sessions) for KS1 children to develop their skills through Tag Rugby. The planning encompasses a range of core skills as well as opportunities to apply them through game play situations.
Also includes assessment windscreens to help teachers/ PE Leads track attainment and progress of cohorts.

To understand the rules of tag rugby
To being to use evasion/ defence tactics in a games
To throw and catch a rugby ball.
To begin to referee simple activities/ games for their peers.
Session 1 Understanding rules of tagging, putting tags on, basic evasion games.
Session 2 Ball familiarisation.
Session 3 Evasion skills.
Session 4 Passing skills.
Session 5 Catching skills.
Session 6 Games.
